Instead of the plain same old sandwich for kids’ lunches, why not try it “sushi-style?!” These fun little sushi rolls are fun for even picky eaters. If your child knows how to use chopsticks, add a set to the box as well. This lunch is extremely fast to prepare and can have hundreds of variations according to what your little ones like.

Ingredients

  • 1 Spinach Tortilla
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable Cream Cheese (or herbed cream cheese)
  • 2oz Shaved Ham
  • 1 thin slice Provolone Cheese
  • 1 bag Brothers-All-Natural Banana Fruit Crisps
  • 5 Small Carrot Sticks
  • 5 Small Celery Sticks
  • 1 tablespoon Ranch Dressing (or dip of choice)
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Blueberries (washed)
  • 1 Drink Box (100% juice if possible)

Directions

Step 1
Lightly toast the spinach tortilla over an open flame. If you have a gas burner, turn it on low and set the tortilla directly on the grates. Turn every 5-7 seconds with tongs, until light bubbles start to form. Remove from heat and place on a plate or clean surface. Let cool. If you do not have an open flame, skip this step.
Step 2
Spread 1 Tbsp. vegetable cream cheese onto the center of the tortilla. Top with ham, then cheese (you may rip the piece of cheese in half to fill the tortilla better). Fold both ends of the tortilla, then cut the other 2 ends square. Roll up completely. Slice into ½-inch thick slices and place into bento container.

Step 3
Add the remaining items to small containers in the bento box, including the ranch dressing. Serve with a package of Brothers-All-Natural Banana Fruit Crisps and a drink.
Step 4
Variations: Use plain flour tortilla wraps and spread with peanut butter (or almond butter) and top with sliced fruit (which can include Brothers-All-Natural Fruit Crisps). Add some lettuce, tomato, bell pepper strips, and/or carrot sticks to the wrap to give it some crunch and color. Use grilled chicken breast strips instead of ham or use fresh roasted turkey breast (from leftover dinner). Use different flavored wraps, cheeses, vegetables, spreads and/or dressings to give these little rolls your own special flair.
